We had a wonderful week reading about dragons
We read Saint George and the Dragon as well as the Michaelmas Story of the Star Children (look on the right hand side).
making fire breathing dragons:

We also finished our lanterns just in time for our Harvest Moon lantern walk, which we took with friends from one of our homeschool groups. They turned out wonderfully – we will definitely be making them again! We used this tutorial – it was simple paper mache using a balloon, tissue paper and glue. We also read and enjoyed Lin Yi’s Lantern.

Adelaide’s lantern didn’t quite make it through the whole evening, but she loved it. Loved it literally to pieces. ![]()

Can you believe I failed to take a picture of the gorgeous full moon? Eleanore was the first to spot it and was so excited that I completely forgot to get a picture.

I hope your harvest moon and Michaelmas was just as lovely.
