I’ve been tagged

September 14, 2007

by Sheila for the middle name tag :)

Must not be a bitch all the time
Apologetic for the above
Relieved the work week is over
Itching to knit something
Exhausted

Consider yourself tagged if you’d like to participate ;) I hate tagging people, but like being tagged for some reason. I’m goofy, I know.

Cravings at 10 weeks? (yep already having them) Chocolate chip cookies, chef boyardee beef ravioli (I’m a vegetarian), subway seafood sub, chocolate ice cream. I didn’t fulfill any of them. boo! I snagged me some chocolate chip cookies :)
No knitting to report. Maybe this weekend… maybe…

Baby Knitting

September 12, 2007

Here’s the baby knitting I’ve been working on. I plan on cloth diapering the little frog, once he or she arrives, so I’ve been doing a bit of soaker knitting.

Soaker

For these two, I used the pattern from Punk Knitting and size 4 circs. I also knit up a larger one using size 6 circs from the same pattern, but don’t have a picture. Plus, taking a recommendation from The Yarn Pirate and knit one up from the Little Turtle Knits pattern, but my camera batteries died when I tried to take a picture.

My next soaker, I plan on trying out this wrap pattern.

I also knit up this Vine Lace hat out of Socks that Rock and size 3 needles.

Honestly, lately however, I’m too exhausted at the end of the day to knit. I find myself staring at the tv for an hour or so when I could be knitting, and then I go to bed at 8:30 or 9. I’ll be glad when my energy (supposedly) returns in my second trimester! I have been lucky in that I haven’t had to deal with much morning sickness, and no puking. I had my days of feeling really sick in the evening, and I still don’t feel so hot in the morning, but I’m so relieved that I’m not throwing up. I’m the world’s biggest baby (no pun intended) at puking.

Our news

September 7, 2007

Not only are we moving to North Carolina on October 13th, we also have this news to share:
Baby Pictures

We took a month off our fertility treatments, as we were out of town a few times in June and July and *that’s* when I get pregnant. Crazy isn’t it? We try for almost 2 years, and the month we take off treatment is the one that works. The ultrasound pictures are from my last appointment at the RE yesterday at 9w2d. He’s released me to the OB, so that means things are going well! I’ve surpassed both miscarriage dates, so we’re praying that the third time is a charm ;) The day we came back from California, I got this as a surprise. I had no idea I was pregnant.
Pregnant... again... is this one going to stick?
A great souvenir if you ask me, even if the little one wasn’t actually conceived on vacation!

Of course, I’ve already started knitting. I’ll update soon with pics. I’m a little thrown by the fact that we’re moving someplace WARM though. What am I going to do with all this wool? North Carolina averages 2 inches of snow a YEAR. A little different from what we’re used to…

Too Tired to knit…
